Robert ‘Bobbito' Garcia is a true original. As co-host of the celebrated
Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito Radio Show he is responsible for giving the
likes of Nas, Jay-Z and the Fugees airplay before they were even signed,
as well as introducing the wider world to artists like MF Doom and Cage on
his own label Fondle ‘Em. The author and compiler of Where’d You Get
Those?: New York City's Sneaker Culture 1960-1987, co-director of the
highly rated documentary Doin' It In The Park: Pick-up Basketball, New
York City and courtside reporter for the New York Knicks, Bobbito’s
influence has spread far beyond his hip hop roots. Mixing his Latino
heritage with a boundless passion for hip hop and discerning vinyl, a set
from Bobbito is quite unlike any other, miss it at your peril.
