Round TWO!

On Friday August 4th, Jazz Auckland and Hendrick's Gin 'brings the party' with the second edition of ELEMENTAL JAZZ as part of the ELEMENTAL festival 2023, featuring the world debut of THE LAHAAR, a super-group made up from some of New Zealand and Australia's dopest musicians with support from Auckland's own Phoebe Rings with DJ duties taken care of by Carlotta and Hudge (95bFM)

The Lahaar are Julien Dyne on drums, vocalist Mara TK, with Horatio Luna and Surprise Chef's Lachlan Stuckey (both from Melbourne) with a host of talent from here in NZ who will be on the tools!

Their very recent 5-track rollercoaster of an EP out on UK label Soundway Records fuses porto-rap disco instrumentals, Nigerian boogie, Jamaican dub and modern jazzy house with the legendary vocals of Mara TK. Already this EP has lit up international DJ charts with support from many top DJ’s. This is gonna sound incredible on Neck of the Wood's Ghost Soundsystem

Also on this bill for Elemental Jazz (pt2) are Auckland band. Phoebe Rings who will bring their unique dream pop/avant-jazz style to Neck of the Woods for a rare Auckland show. Fronted by singer/ songwriter/keyboardist Crystal Choi, Phoebe Rings released their self-titled debut EP in 2021 to much adoration after cementing their reputation as a dynamic live act.
